Josh Hamilton, the newest member of the Anaheim Angels, has created a stir by saying Dallas-Fort Worth isn't a "true baseball town."

In a TV interview with CBS 11's Gina Miller, Hamilton said: "Texas, especially Dallas, has always been a football town. They're supportive, but they also got a little spoiled at the same time pretty quickly."

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington didn't bite at a chance to react to Hamilton's comment, but said: "There were 3.5 million fans that came through the turnstiles. That answers it right there; but I have no comment on Josh's comment."

Hamilton said he had no regrets about leaving the Rangers, and expects mixed emotions from fans when he returns to Rangers Ballpark on April 6.
