SEATTLE -- Jordan Reves and Kevin Butler combined to make three free throws in the final 12 seconds, helping UT Arlington beat Seattle 65-63 in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday night.
Down 63-62 with 12 seconds remaining in the game, Reves hit two free throws, giving the Mavericks a 64-63 lead.Seattle missed a layup and Butler grabbed the rebound and was fouled with one second remaining. He made 1 of 2 free throws as the Mavericks won away from home.UTA is 14-9 for the season and 9-5 in conference play. The Mavericks won their fourth consecutive game and have won six of seven."It's a huge win," UTA coach Scott Cross said. "It feels awesome to have a winning streak going."The Mavericks were behind much of the game and were down as much as 10 points in the first half."We got manhandled there for a stretch in the first half," Cross said.But Reves came through in the clutch."I'm always confident when the game is in my hands," Reves said.
