Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus was in camp Thursday morning a few days ahead of the first full-squad workout, and it didn't take long for him to face questions about his contract situation.
He has two seasons left before he becomes a free agent. But the issue has become more urgent this off-season because of the presence of Jurickson Profar.Andrus said that the Rangers and his agent, Scott Boras, have talked during the off-season. Andrus wants to stay with the Rangers over the long-term, which would include his prime years, and build a home and start a family in the Metroplex."We'll just have to wait and see," Andrus said.
