Man struck, killed on west Fort Worth street

FORT WORTH _ A 20-year-old man died Wednesday night from injuries he suffered when he was hit by a vehicle as he stepped onto a street, officials said Thursday.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Blake Remines of Fort Worth.

Remines died at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday in the operating room at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. An autopsy will be performed.

The incident occurred in the 8600 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard.

No details of the incident had been released by police.
