FORT WORTH _ A fire destroyed an apartment clubhouse Wednesday morning, but no injuries were reported in the blaze on the eastside of Fort Worth, a fire official said.

Firefighters took about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire at the Bella Luxury Apartments in the 5700 block of Boca Raton Boulevard.

The blaze was reported shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday and caused an estimated $50,000 damage, said Battalion Chief Richard Harrison.

A busted water pipe at the scene also was causing problems for residents.

About half of the residents at the complex will be without water for awhile, Harrison said.

It was unclear if the fire caused the pipe to burst.

A cause of the blaze had not been determined, but investigators were on the scene.
