I have this year’s dancers for the March 23 Dancing With Our Stars event benefiting the Southlake Newcomer Club. Gracing the dance floor will be Mary Grace Thoennes and David Hamlin; Melissa Page and Curtis L. Harnagel; Candy Branson and Randie Kindle; and Terri Suresh and Dan DeNeui. I have heard there is a fifth couple yet to be announced. Once I get those names, you’ll be the next to hear.

If you see these dancers running around town, be sure to congratulate them … then ask why they aren’t in dance class!

Tickets are $125 for individuals and $225 for couples (tables are also available) and can be purchased by going to the Southlake Newcomers Club website at www.southlakenewcomers.com and clicking on the “Dancing With Our Stars tickets are available now!” text in the middle of the page.

I have told you about how Saks Fifth Avenue has generously named Colleyville Woman’s Club as the February recipient of 5 percent of your purchases made on your Saks Fifth Avenue credit card. If you want to make sure the Colleyville Woman’s Club gets the money, those purchases must be made at the Saks Fifth Avenue store at the Dallas Galleria, 13550 Dallas Parkway in Dallas.

Hop in the car and let’s go!

Legacy of Men Awards

On March 26 at the Ridglea Country Club at 3700 Bernie Anderson Avenue in Fort Worth, SafeHaven of Tarrant County will host the fifth annual Legacy of Men Awards benefiting its domestic violence prevention and intervention programs. The keynote speaker is Gran Teaff.

Teaff, who serves as executive director of the American Football Coaches Association, is a former coach at Baylor University and inductee into eight halls of fame, including the College Football Hall of Fame and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. With an amazing 170 winning football games, two Southwest Conference championships and multiple post-season and all-star games under his belt, Teaff will be an outstanding speaker.

Individual tickets are $100 for this 6 p.m. event and can be purchased by going to the SafeHaven of Tarrant County website, www.safehaventc.org, then clicking on the “Donate” button at the top of the page. This will take you to a page where you can click on the arrow under “Donate or Buy a ticket” and scroll down to the Legacy of Men area. There you will find various ticket and table prices.
