FORT WORTH _ North Texans should expect a day of drizzle, clouds and cool temperatures on Tuesday.

Forecasters were saying that the steadier rains should be out of the area by the lunch hour, but light rain could stick around for the rest of the day.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the official reporting station for the North Texas areas, had recorded .37 inches. Other totals in Tarrant County were around a quarter-inch or less.

The high Tuesday should be in the low 50s.

Forecasters say it should warm into the upper 50s on Wednesday.

"It will be cooler than last week," said meterologist Ted Ryan of the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. "But that's not bad for a February in North Texas."

But the weather service is predicting a great Valentine's Day on Thursday.

On Thursday, forecasters say it should be sunny with a high in the upper 60s.

There's a slight chance of rain Friday night, but forecasters say the rest of the weekend should be clear with temperatures in the 60s.
