Boeing conducts second test flight of Dreamliner

Boeing conducted a second test flight of its 787 on Monday as it looks for the cause of battery problems that have grounded the planes. No more tests are planned.

Boeing said Monday's flight lasting one hour and 29 minutes was uneventful. Federal officials grounded the 787 on Jan. 16 because of battery problems.

Dell attempts to quiet criticism of deal

Dell Inc. is trying to reassure shareholders about its proposed $24.4 billion acquisition by a group led by its founder, saying it first considered a number of strategic options. Dell laid out the advantages of the transaction in a regulatory filing Monday, three days after a major shareholder ridiculed the buyout as a rotten deal that undervalues the business.

Court clears way for Hostess brands' auctions

Hostess Brands won bankruptcy court approval Monday to hold auctions for brands including Wonder Bread, Twinkies and Drake's. The court approved Flowers Foods Inc., McKee Foods Corp., United States Bakery Inc., Apollo Global Management LLC and C. Dean Metropoulos & Co. as lead bidders for most of Irving-based Hostess's cake and bread brands.

That sets the thresholds that other companies must top. A hearing to approve the highest and best bids is set for March 19.

Decision sends drug company's stock falling

Shares of Novo Nordisk tumbled Monday after it said U.S. regulators want to see a new study before they can finish their review of two diabetes treatments with a long-acting insulin. The drugmaker said Sunday the Food and Drug Administration requested information about cardiovascular health before it makes a decision on Tresiba and Ryzodeg, which both use the insulin degludec.

Novo Nordisk said it was surprised and disappointed by the decision.

Fusion, network aimed at Hispanics, planned

ABC and Spanish language broadcaster Univision said their jointly owned cable network for U.S. Hispanics will be called Fusion and start in the second half of the year. The companies said in May that they would collaborate.
