If you think you're seeing more and more people on bicycles on Fort Worth streets, you're right -- and count on the number increasing. The city has a comprehensive plan to promote bicycling as a safe and attractive transportation alternative. At ultimate build-out, the plan calls for more than 1,000 miles of on-street and off-street bicycle lanes and paths, and 75 percent of that is on-street. The Fort Worth Transportation Authority plans to start a bike rental program. Is all of this an improvement? What steps are needed to make it better?
