Several excited folks turned out to welcome Weatherford Regional Medical Center’s (WRMC) new CEO David Orcutt at a reception on Feb. 5 at the Wild Mushroom Restaurant.
Orcutt was named the new chief executive officer effective Feb. 4.In a previous release, Dennis Clayton, Chairman of the WRMC Board of Trustees, said that after much thought and discussion with those involved in the search process, the decision was made to name Orcutt as the permanent CEO.“He has the leadership experience for this important role and is the right choice for the WRMC team moving forward,” Clayton said in the release.Orcutt comes with more than 12 years of healthcare management experience, most recently serving as chief executive officer of Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury. He served on active duty as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy for eight years, and retired as a Commander from the reserves in 2012. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University.“I look forward to building on the hospital’s recent accomplishments,” Orcutt said. “This is an outstanding facility with an exceptional medical staff and employee team.
