About the Hawks: This is the Hawks' only appearance in Dallas this season. ... The Hawks are second in the Southeast Division, but have dropped three of their past four games, including 111-100 at home to New Orleans on Friday. They also are just 10-13 on the road and 10-9 against Western Conference teams. ... The Hawks get the bulk of their attack from Josh Smith (16.9 ppg, 8.5 rpg), Al Horford (15.9 ppg, 9.7 rpg), Jeff Teague (14.2 ppg, 6.8 apg) and Kyle Korver (11.6 ppg). Korver is shooting 46.2 percent from the field and is first in the NBA in 3-point shooting at 46.4 percent.

About the Mavericks: With just two home games remaining before the All-Star break, the Mavs are 2-0 on a five-game home stand. They come in tonight after Saturday's 116-91 impressive win over the Golden State Warriors. ... Overall, the Mavs have won three of their last four games. ... Dallas is 14-9 at home and 9-9 against the East. ... Balance is the key for the Mavs, who have six players averaging in double-figure scoring, led by O.J. Mayo (18 ppg).
