I am not writing to defend Gov. Rick Perry, and my sentiment is against our culture's acceptance of abortion. Steinem said Perry would be at home in Afghanistan because of his "attitudes toward female human beings."

But Steinem audaciously defends killing female children before they have a chance to draw breath. I support women's rights in every arena but abortion.

Steinem says Perry will go down in history as an authoritarian, but she will go down in history as a promoter of infanticide, of both girls and boys. She and the elected representatives who were in attendance to cheer her can cling to their precious abortion beliefs, but spare me the sanctimony.
