If ever someone was on the opposite side of history, it is Gloria Steinem and her Democrat friends. (See: "Gloria Steinem says governor is on the wrong side of history," Saturday) By their honoring Planned Parenthood, they have acknowledged that abortions have resulted in the killing of 55 million American babies since 1973. Maybe she and the others never read, "God hates the shedding of innocent blood," Proverbs 6:17.

Steinem and company are exuberant about women's rights, but they resist giving full disclosure to those about to have an abortion, and they seem unconcerned about the debilitating emotional toll abortion has had on many mothers. Eventually, it will be proved who's on the right side of history with this issue, and it won't be Steinem and most of the Democratic Party.
