First Fridays at Nash Farms gives visitors the opportunity to experience life on a Texas farm in the late 19th century.

According to promoters, daily life in the late 19th century required knowledge of a number of skills, methods and even recipes that are demonstrated during the monthly sessions. The Nash Farmhands teach these skills, featuring a different theme each month.

All sessions are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $3.

The sessions include Urban Homesteading, March 1; Textiles, April 5; Farm Fun, May 3; Crops, June 7; Keeping Cool, July 5; Cotton, Aug. 2; Craftsmanship, Sept. 6; Campfire Cooking, Oct. 4; Textiles, Nov. 1; and Farm Fun, Dec. 6.
