About the Trail Blazers: Portland is 1-1 against the Mavs this season, which includes a 106-104 Blazers victory on Jan. 29 when LaMarcus Aldridge hit an 18-foot winning shot at the buzzer. Aldridge finished with 29 points and 13 rebounds, and J.J. Hickson added 26 points and 15 rebounds. A Seagoville native who will play in the Feb. 17 All-Star Game in Houston, Aldridge averages 20.6 points and 9.0 rebounds a game.... Portland has won five of its last seven games.

About the Mavericks: Dallas opens a five-game homestand tonight that ends after the All-Star break. ... The Mavericks are last in the NBA in points allowed at 103.1 points per game.... O.J. Mayo is the Mavs' top scorer at 17.8 ppg....
