WAA selects Artists of the Month

The Weatherford Art Association recently announced the three winning “Artists of the Month” for January.

All paintings will be on display at their respective banks until the end of February.

First place was awarded to Jerry Shidal for his painting titled "Mission Espada." Shidal's painting will be on display at the FW Community Bank in Weatherford.

Second place was awarded to Jack Eidson for his painting titled "Cactus Big Bend." Eidson's painting will be on display at the 1st National Bank.

Third place was awarded to Sara Fino for "Autumn Trees." Fino's painting will be on display at the First Financial Bank of the Weatherford Square.

Guest artist for the month of January was Texas painter Tina Bolhman with a demonstration on plein air painting. Bolhman will be giving a three-day workshop at the Firehouse Gallery from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch at noon on March 8-10. Bring a lunch and eat in the studio.
