DAR announces winners of conservation poster contest

The Weatherford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored a children’s poster contest. This year, 57 students from Victory Baptist Church Academy participated in the contest “Chose Conservation Over Convenience.” Ribbons were presented at the school assembly on Jan. 22.

Placing’s were: 1st place Skylar Woody; 2nd Lily Chavez; 3rd Harrison Castleberry; Best of Show (1-6th grade) Carleigh Odom and Best of Show (High School) Angie Antoine. Three Honorable Mention rosettes were presented: Emma Catuto, Makayla Cousins and Carly Cox. All the students participating were given Participation ribbons and prizes.
