That loud crash you may have heard Saturday was the Stock Show's attendance record falling.
The sprawling celebration of livestock and rural life drew 157,800 visitors on the third Saturday of it 23-day run - the highest figure ever recorded for any single day in the event's 117-year history.The bumper day, aided by gorgeous clear skies and mild temperatures, eclipsed the previous record of 154,400, which was recorded on the third Saturday of 2011.Total attendance for this year's Stock Show now stands at 777,900.
