Rapid City clips Fort Worth Brahmas in shootout

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Jared Brown and Damian Surma scored goals in a shootout, and goalie Danny Battachio turned away four Fort Worth Brahmas shooters in Rapid City's 3-2 victory Friday at NYTEX Sports Centre.

Shawn Sydlowski and Brandon Hodge scored to give the Brahmas a 2-1 lead early in the second period, but Jesse Schultz tied it at 2 with 11:27 left in regulation.

Fort Worth had only five shots in the third period and overtime combined. Three of the Brahmas' past four games have gone to shootouts, with Fort Worth winning the first two.
