COLLEYVILLE—Fire Chief Russell Shelley will retire this week after XXX city will give you this and other information that you can fill in here years with the city.

On Feb. 1, long-time Grand Prairie fire chief Clif Nelson will come out of retirement to fill the position in the interim while Colleyville seeks a permanent replacement.

Over his 34-year career, Nelson worked as a driver engineer, lieutenant, captain, assistant fire chief, fire marshal and fire chief. He led the fire department from 1996 to 2012.
