Where were these Republican-appointed federal judges, who supposedly are just upholding the law, when George W. Bush was making his 171 recess appointments? Ronald Reagan actually made 243.

Do federal judges get to pick and choose when the law should be applied? I assume this ruling will now also be applied to all of Bush's recess appointments and the subsequent fallout. This would be the fair and proper thing to do.

You can't apply a law to one president and not another.
