Kudos to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit for its unanimous decision that President Obama's nonrecess recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board are unconstitutional in that he failed to obtain the constitutionally required advice and consent of the Senate. Such appointments were a clear abuse of executive power.

The president has shown a penchant recently for pushing the boundaries of what he can legally do or not do by also misusing executive orders and agency regulations to do what Congress has not done, for whatever reason.

It is time that President Obama fully accepts our checks-and-balances system of government as we are still a democratic republic and not a dictatorship.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of an awakening of the judiciary to the president's abuse of power.
