To see Texas' U.S. Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz , who cleverly avoided military service to our country, be the leading dissenting voices and votes against two honored war veterans for secretaries of state and defense is about as sanctimonious, hypocritical, embarrassing and un-Texan as it can get.

Sam Houston, Albert Sidney Johnston and Audie Murphy would turn over in their graves.
