Insight into Cruz

Congratulations to Eric Celeste for his insightful article on the actions of our newest U.S. senator (See: "Ted Cruz is too extreme to ignore," Jan. 24). Bravo to the Star-Telegram for printing the article. I am sure you will get some angry responses.

Despite some of the things said in his campaign for the office, I had hoped that Cruz's Latino heritage would have given him some insight into the real problems facing our country. ( Cruz is a Spanish word meaning "cross.") But if this is the way he starts his career in the Senate, I shudder to think of the end!
