Galveston has the third-largest Mardi Gras celebration in the U.S., running until Feb. 12, and it includes parades (with floats from the famous Mardi Gras World in New Orleans), masked balls, a choreographed umbrella dance, laser shows and more. There's even a carnival-themed cruise on the Carnival Triumph to Mexico's Cozumel and Progreso, departing Feb. 11. More on that, including pricing, at cruisekrewe.com.
