One person was shot to death in a Grand Prairie office building Tuesday afternoon, and authorities arrested a suspect a few hours later after an extensive search of a nearby neighborhood, Grand Prairie police said.

The shooting victim was dentified as Ricky McCowin, 24. He died at an area hospital from a single gunshot wound to the head, police said.

The shooting occurred in a four-story office building in the 2080 block of North Texas 360. Both men worked at Crescent Processing Co., which was on the fourth floor.

Officers searched the area and arrested Davis about 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Avenue R. He was booked into the Grand Prairie Jail about 5:50 p.m. He faces a charge of murder, Grand Prairie Detective Lyle Gensler said in a news release Tuesday. His bond was set at $500,000.
