One person was shot to death in a Grand Prairie office building Tuesday afternoon and authorities arrested a suspect a few hours later after an extensive search of a nearby neighborhood, Grand Prairie police said.

The suspect was identified as Louis Anthony Davis. He was taken into custody less than a mile from the shooting on Texas 360.

The shooting victim, who was not identified, died at an area hospital.

The shooting occurred four-story office building in the 2080 block of N. Texas 360.

Several witnesses told police that the suspect was seen running from the building after the shooting.

Officers began a search of the area and arrested Davis about 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Ave. R.

Davis was booked into the Grand Prairie Jail about 5:50 p.m.

He faces a charge of murder, said Grand Prairie Det. Lyle Gensler in a news release Tuesday.

Authorities did not release any information about a possible motive.

The investigation continued Tuesday night.
