GRAPEVINE -- Residents have one more day to offer their opinions in an on-line Lake Parks Survey.
Joe Moore, assistant director of Grapevine Parks & Recreation, said the city wants to hear from all residents, not just those who live on Grapevine Lake by the January 31 deadline."Just because they don't live on the lake doesn't mean we don't want their two cents worth," Moore said. The information will be presented to the City Council for future planning, probably in March.Survey questions include, "What improvements, if any, do you feel would better our lake parks system?""We needed around the 400 mark for a good statistical analysis," Moore said. "We got that as of Jan. 8 and that is a good reflection of what the citizens want to see at the lake."Moore said he has been with the parks and recreation department for 25 years and that the area parks have improved dramatically. To conserve costs, paper and the environment, the survey is available online only. For those in need of computer access, visit one of the following locations: Community Activities Center, 1175 Municipal Way; Grapevine Library, 1201 Municipal Way; or the Senior Activities Center, 421 Church St.To take the survey, go to www.grapevinetexas.gov and click on the parks and recreation tab on the left.
