Keller, Haslet, Trophy Club and Westlake municipal election filing begins Jan. 30

Filing for May 11 City Council and school board elections begins today.

Between Jan. 30 and March 1 candidate applications can be obtained from city and school district offices.

Here are some of the seats that will be included on the ballot.


There are two places up in Keller.

The first is Place 3 which is currently held by Mayor Pro Tem Tom Cawthra and second is Place 4 which is held by Bill Dodge.


In Haslet the mayor's seat and Place 2 and Place 4 are up for grabs.

Currently the mayor's seat is held by Bob Golden. While Mitch Hill now holds Place 2 and Harold Willliams is now in the Place 4 seat.

Trophy Club

The one seat up in Trophy club is Place 5, now held by Mayor Pro Tem Glenn Strother.


In Westlake seats will expire for councilmembers David Levitan, Carol Langdon, Rick Rennhack and Michael Barrett.

Keller ISD

Three seats will be up in the Keller School District.

They include Place 1, held by Jim Stitt; Place 2, now occupied by Board President Kevin Stevenson; and Place 3, held by Cindy Lotton.

Northwest ISD

Seats that will expire in the Northwest school district are Place 3, now held by Daryl Laney, and Place 4, held by Judy Copp.
