Timberview boys dominate Mansfield

Cornelius Hudson scored a season-high 27 points and Timberview's boys basketball team took down Mansfield High 67-38 last Friday night.

The Tigers led 12-7 after one quarter but it was all Wolves after that. Timberview outscored Mansfield 35-14 in the second and third quarters.

Alex Robinson scored 18 points for Timberview. Zach Johnson led Mansfield with 13 points.

Lake Ridge girls shut down Ennis

The Lady Eagles defense swarmed all over Ennis on Friday night, with Mansfield Lake Ridge winning in girls basketball 43-33.

In the second half, Lake Ridge held Ennis to just 12 points. Lake Ridge didn't have a player in double figures, but had 10 players score.

Summit boys fall late to Arlington Seguin

Arlington Seguin held off a furious Summit rally to win 51-48 on Friday night in boys basketball.

Seguin held a nine-point lead at halftime before Summit whittled it away in the third quarter. The Jaguars outscored Seguin 14-8 in the third quarter but couldn't break through in the fourth quarter to take the lead.

Lovell Cabbil and Terrance Hubby each led Summit with 16 points.

Timberview girls take care of Mansfield High

The Timberview girls basketball team was dominant on Friday night, beating Mansfield High 50-29.

Timberview started strong early, taking a 22-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and never trailing after that.

The Lady Wolves had three players in double figures, with Terriell Bradley scoring 11 points and JaLea Bennett and Lili Thompson scoring 10 points each.

Lake Ridge boys top Ennis

The Lake Ridge boys basketball team rode an impressive first half to a 47-36 win against Ennis on Friday night.

Lake Ridge scored 14 points in both the first and second quarter to lead 28-15 at halftime. From there, the Eagles maintained their lead to pull out the win.

Julian Harris led Lake Ridge with 11 points.
