A 12-year-old Irving girl was killed and three others were injured Sunday afternoon when a truck crashed into their stalled car on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie.

The car was stopped on the side of the road in the westbound lanes near Texas 161 when it was struck by another vehicle, a dispatcher said.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Maria Gonzalez-Refugio of Irving.

The other injured were taken to hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not known.

Traffic on I-30 was backed up for miles as emergency crews cared for the injured and investigated the wreck.
