The TCU women's basketball team meets a familiar foe for the first time in Big 12 conference play today in Texas Tech, facing the Lady Raiders for the 39th time in program history.

However, the series hasn't been good for the Horned Frogs, with just one win in 38 tries. That win came in the program's most recent meeting in 2008, when the Horned Frogs downed Texas Tech 81-74 in the third round of the WNIT tournament.

Tech enters today's game riding a three-game winning streak in conference play. Senior guard Chynna Brown leads the Lady Raiders, averaging 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Size in the post will be relatively even, which has been an issue for the Horned Frogs the majority of the season.

Junior post Latricia Lovings has had a breakout season, leading the Big 12 in rebounding, averaging 10.4 per game, and has pulled down 13 in each of TCU's past two games. Lovings also leads the Big 12 in overall blocked shots and sits No. 4 nationally with 59.

Today's game will be the first between the schools as conference mates since 1996, when both were members of the Southwest Conference.
