HOUSTON -- A man accused of opening fire at a Harris County community college campus after someone bumped into him on Tuesday was arrested early Friday in Plano, authorities said.

Trey Foster, 22, was taken into custody about 1 a.m. at a house where he was apparently staying with acquaintances, Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said.

A handgun was seized, he said. Foster was returned to Harris County.

Three men were wounded in the shooting at the North Harris County campus of Lone Star College.

Foster "confirms that being bumped into is at the root of this incident," Garcia said, blaming the incident on "idiocy and stupidity, and I think today I'll add pre-puberty behavior."

At least 10 shots were fired, causing a lockdown and terrifying people on campus.
