Even though UT Arlington has lost seven straight games, coach Samantha Morrow said her team will be tough to beat if it plays as it did in the second half of Thursday's 93-83 loss to Utah State.
"It's not where you start, it's where you finish, and I feel like if we can build off those last 18 minutes going into the next game, then we can get on a big-time roll here," Morrow said. "We're as good as anybody in the conference."The Mavericks, who are last in the WAC standings, scored 56 points in the second half Thursday and will try to provide a similar offensive output tonight at College Park Center against San Jose State.Something has to give as UTA has lost 11 straight home games while the Spartans have lost 12 consecutive on the road. The Spartans' three-game winning streak was snapped Thursday in a 94-80 loss at Louisiana Tech.Ta'Rea Cunnigan had 21 points in that game, and she is second in the conference in scoring, averaging 20.5 points a game.
