Rich Bisaccia is the Dallas Cowboys new special teams coach, a source confirmed Friday. Bisaccia's coaching career at Auburn lasted 22 days.
"Rich had an offer that he felt he could not turn down and we wish him nothing but the best," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said in a statement.Bisaccia, 52, replaces Joe DeCamillis, who took the same job with the Chicago Bears. Dallas also interviewed Bruce DeHaven and Alan Lowry for the position.Bisaccia, who spent the past two seasons with the Chargers, continues an influx of former Tampa Bay coaches. He ran special teams for the Buccaneers from 2002-10. New Cowboys defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and defensive line coach Rod Marinelli were together in Tampa for 10 seasons.The Cowboys still have openings for a tight ends coach and a running backs coach. Their receivers coach, Jimmy Robinson, hasn't decided his future.
