Rich Bisaccia's coaching career at Auburn lasted 22 days. He resigned Friday to become the Dallas Cowboys' special teams coach, according to AL.com.

The Web site reported the Cowboys will announce the move later today.

"Rich had an offer that he felt he could not turn down and we wish him nothing but the best," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said in a statement.

Bisaccia, 52, replaces Joe DeCamillis, whom the Cowboys allowed to leave for the Chicago Bears. Dallas also interviewed Bruce DeHaven and Alan Lowry for the position.

Bisaccia continues an influx of former Bucs coaches. He coached in Tampa from 2002-10. New Cowboys defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and new defensive line coach Rod Marinelli were together in Tampa for 10 seasons.

Bisaccia most recently was with the San Diego Chargers.

The Cowboys still have openings for a tight ends coach and a running backs coach. They could have a receivers position, depending on Jimmy Robinson's future. Assistant offensive line coach Wes Phillips could be considered for the tight ends position.
