DENTON -- Kortni Jones and Ebony Rowe of Middle Tennessee State combined for 45 points, North Texas was held to 17 points in the second half and the visiting Blue Raiders rolled to a 60-47 victory in a Sun Belt Conference women's basketball game on Thursday night.

The Mean Green (7-12, 6-4 Sun Belt) held a 30-27 halftime lead. But in the second half, North Texas shot only 18.5 percent from the field and made only one 3-point attempt.

"I thought they defended us well, and I thought we panicked a little bit," North Texas coach Mike Petersen said. "When they got the lead we broke down. We've got to be more mature.

"I thought we got frustrated offensively. We let them take us out of what we wanted to do. We didn't respond very well, and we missed some easy shots."

Loryn Goodwin led North Texas with 21 points. Laura McCoy, with 10 points, was the only other player in double figures.

North Texas was held scoreless for six-plus minutes as the Blue Raiders (14-5, 9-1) went on a 13-2 run to open the second half.

It was Middle Tennessee's 12th consecutive victory in conference play away from home.

It was also the Blue Raiders' 10th consecutive victory over North Texas.
