The man killed was identified early Friday as Jordan Hatcher, 22, of Mansfield, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office reported. The man was shot after he grabbed an officer's Taser, said Sgt. Christopher Cook of the Arlington police. The officers had responded to a call at 3:50 p.m. about a theft at the Target store in the 5700 block of Texas 360, Cook said in a news conference posted on YouTube. When they arrived, officers found two suspects, and one was immediately arrested, Cook said. The other man briefly struggled with police, then broke free and ran to the nearby TCC parking lot, Cook said. When officers caught up, there was another struggle. "The suspect was able to gain control of one of the officer's Tasers," Cook said. "The Grand Prairie officer did shoot the suspect in fear of his safety and in fear of the safety of the other officers."Bill Miller, 817-390-7684Twitter: @Bill_MillerSTHave more to add? News tip?
