Spring-like weather will be back Thursday with temperatures climbing into the mid-70s, making it ideal to be outdoors.
"We get one more day of nice weather before the cold air starts seeping into the Metroplex overnight or early Friday morning," said National Weather Service meteorologist Jennifer Dunn.High temperatures will drop back into the mid-50s Friday and Saturday but the upper 60s will return Sunday and the 70s on Monday. There could be rain Saturday night and a better possibility Monday night and Tuesday."The best chances for rain are probably next Tuesday but it looks like most of the rain may be east of Dallas," Dunn said. "The good news is that's far enough off that it could change but right now it doesn't look like a big rain event."For now, there don't appear to any soakers coming that will help ease the drought but Dunn said there could another chance of rain late next week."It's too early to say what that will be but if the weather pattern stay active there's always a chance that could turn into something more significant," Dunn said. While another cold front will come through the area next week, no outbreaks of Arctic air, like the Eastern U.S. has seen this week, appear headed this way.Bill Hanna, (817) 390-7698Twitter: @fwhannaHave more to add?
