Colleyville's annual State of the City meeting begins at 6 p.m. with an open house, followed at 7 p.m. by the State of the City address with a review of 2012 and information on programs and initiatives planned for the year ahead. The Colleyville City Council is accepting applications through Feb. 1 for the city's Zoning Board of Adjustment, which has the authority to hear and decide requests for variances from the city's land development code. The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month, at 7 p.m., as needed. Applications are available online at Colleyville.com and in person at the city secretary's office. Grapevine

Jan. 25-27. STARS Theater Company presents Disney's Aladdin, Jr. at Heritage Methodist Church, 4344 Heritage Ave., in Grapevine.
