Gun shows at Will Rogers? Why not put it to a vote?

I want to preserve my Second Amendment rights at the same time as I exercise my First Amendment rights. If it makes logistical sense to put a referendum on the ballot concerning hosting gun shows in the city-owned facilities, then the City Council should allow voters to make themselves heard in the upcoming May elections. As public servants, they owe it to their constituents.
