If the $1.3 million raised by George P. Bush in 39 days for an undisclosed bid for office doesn't point up the need for campaign finance reform, nothing does.
He might be an excellent candidate for -- oops, we don't know for what, do we? -- but the fact that he is so heavily financed by relatives and their cronies at this point is a slap in the face to less well-funded candidates, as well as the voting public.Again, it seems that many of our elective offices are available only to those with the most money.This cries out for reform.
