Three articles on the same page essentially in support of more gun control, even if by executive order since going to Congress might not work.

Democracy is so inconvenient!

If executive orders are a good idea, and you are willing to ignore the Constitution, perhaps we should also have an executive order to license journalists.

Just ignore the First Amendment. To prevent false or misleading articles in magazine, newspapers or TV news, all journalists would have to have a federal license.

Any journalist wanting a license would have to pass a background check: no history of illegal drug use, no history of domestic abuse, mental instability, felony conviction or DWI.

And make each journalist buy a magic decoder ring that would allow them to activate their keyboard and prevent anyone else from using their PC.

Of course, this would not change a thing about what gets printed or broadcast, but it would be inconvenient for journalists and raise revenue for the government.
