Grenades instead of guns

If the National Rifle Association insists every home needs an assault rifle with 30-plus-round clips for home defense or hunting, then let's go one better and arm ourselves with grenades.

They are certainly "arms" as defined in the Second Amendment.

Assault rifles are unwieldy, require you to actually aim at the alleged burglar and pull the trigger each and every time you want to pop off a round.

Grenades are much better and require little skill to pull the pin, toss and then run for your life. No licensing or training would be required since they are so simple to use. Sure, they might flatten your home, but they will teach those criminals a lesson.

How about having school kids "packing a pineapple" in their backpacks? Much cheaper than having armed school guards.

We could start a new organization, the National Grenade Association, to promote their use through memberships generating lobbying money to manipulate Congress. We could open a separate hunting season reserved for grenades like we do for bow hunters.

Is this a great country or what?
