FORT WORTH -- A Cessna 172 made a "hard landing" around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Alliance Airport in far north Fort Worth, but no one was hurt, according to reports.
Preliminary information indicated the aircraft had "some sort of engine problem and made a hard landing," said Lynn Lunsford, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Fort Worth.There were two people aboard the aircraft, but "no injuries were reported," said Engineer Tim Hardeman, spokesman for Fort Worth Fire Department."The airplane is intact, but had to be towed to a ramp area to be checked by a mechanic," Hardeman said.No other information was available.Bill Miller, 817-390-7684Twitter: @Bill_MillerSTHave more to add?
