h Cheers: To people who give blood donations. After falling in a large grocery story and breaking my hip, I had hip replacement surgery and needed a blood transfusion. Thanks to those who gave.

-- Helga Lehman, Arlington

h Cheers: To the person who found my billfold at Chase Bank on Bryant Irvin Road and turned it in to the teller. Chase had left a message on my phone before I got home saying someone had turned in my wallet. There are still good honest people in our world.

-- Margaret Glover, Crowley

hCheers: To Fort Worth's Multicultural Committee, Alia Salem, Police Chief Jeff Halstead, Mayor Betsy Price and First United Methodist Church for staging the interfaith vigil for the Newtown victims and survivors. We live in a compassionate community with people who know how to build interfaith bridges.

-- Loveta Eastes, Fort Worth
