Ready to march

Several letters and jeers have been written recently criticizing members of Congress for trying to cut deficit spending and reduce the national debt. They have succeeded in raising taxes, which is not projected to reduce the accumulating debt over the next 10 years.

The consensus based on the 2012 election is that higher taxes and spending should solve our economic malaise and reduce our high unemployment. If we all had to contribute somehow to paying off the current debt, it would cost over $50,000 each.

And I just read that several senators are petitioning President Obama to circumvent Congress by having the Treasury Department make a $1 trillion coin or interpret the 14th Amendment to mean that the executive branch can control the debt limit.

Does anyone want to join me in a march on Washington if this happens?
