Arlington police asked for help Wednesday in finding a motorist whose car hit a man on a motorized scooter on an Arlington street early Monday and left the scene, police said.

The 64-year-old victim, whom police did not identify, was transported to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition on Wednesday.

The man was crossing North Collins Street about 1:30 a.m. when he was hit by a car described as possibly a 2006 to 2010 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound, according to police.

The wreck happened in the 300 block of North Collins near Division Street in Arlington.

Based on evidence gathered at the scene, the motorist was driving a metallic blue sedan missing the driver's side mirror. It's a General Motors car, possibly an Impala, police said.

Anyone with information should call Arlington police at 817-459-5635.
