In his Dec. 26 letter, "Obamacare cost," Gary Hancock blamed Obamacare for his health insurance premium going up. I have a question: Before the Affordable Care Act was implemented, what was the cause of all those previous years of double-digit premium increases?

Hancock's benefits are changing, for the better: Obamacare makes the insurance companies cover our older children; they can't reject people with pre-existing conditions; it removes lifetime and annual limits. And guess what? Obamacare still gives you the ability to search for a cheaper insurance company.
