In the Wednesday letter "Obamacare cost," Gary Hancock of Arlington attributed the rise in his insurance premium to a direct correlation to the Affordable Care Act.

I want to point out that our small group coverage, which includes 90 percent young healthy individuals and one pretty healthy older individual, has gone up 10 percent every year for the last decade. This year, I believe it went up 11 percent, and this is a health savings account (HSA) policy with a $2,800 deductible. We've also had higher deductibles every year from one of the largest insurance companies in United States.

There may not be a direct correlation with the ACA. Perhaps politics is tying them together?
